Courtney Healy was born in Visalia CA. She moved to Suisun when she was 6. When she was 10, she started dancing at Just Gotta Dance, taking classes in jazz.

When Courtney was 12, she moved to Napa. She wanted to get back into dance but heard about Pop Warner where she became a cheerleader. She cheered with Pop Warner for 3 years and made it to nationals twice; her team won the national title in 2001.

Courtney attended Vintage High School, where she continued her cheerleading; she made the Varsity cheer team as a sophomore. The cheer team that year was undefeated, with titles at the Universal Cheerleading Association’s Regional Competition at Disneyland, as well as a trip to the UCA Nationals in Walt Disney World in Florida. She made the cheer team again her junior year, but soon realized cheerleading was not her true passion.

Courtney also danced in high school. She danced in the dance program at Vintage for four years. Her freshman year she started out in jazz one and by her senior year she made it the jazz three. She was also voted president of the dance program.

After graduating high school, she attended beauty school at Le Melange, in Napa, and is now a successful hair stylist. Courtney started to coach Pop Warner Cheerleading for two seasons, as well as continuing her dance career at Academy of Danse. She has been dancing at academy since 2006 and has studied various fields of dance such as hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, modern, tap, and ballet.

Courtney began teaching 2 hip-hop classes at Academy of Danse in 2008.  Since then she has expanded the hip-hop program to 5 different levels.  Courtney enjoys seeing students experience a completely different style of dance than they have previously experienced.  She even had the privilege of mentoring a high school student from Slovakia; introducing her to hip hop for the first time. Courtney expanded her teaching skills and now is teaching jazz. Courtney became a coach for the academy of Danse Competition Company in 2012 teaching hip-hop and Pom-jazz Routines.

Courtney has attended several dance conventions including the Pulse Conventions in San Francisco where she learned choreography from Lauriann Gibson, Shane sparks, Tyce Diorio, Friedman, Dave Scott, and Wade Robson.

August 3, 2013 Courtney married Ryan Healy.

Courtney enjoys teaching hip-hop and jazz but wishes to continue learning and studying all fields of dance.
